BRAIDED ROPE GASKETS
TECSIL®
TECSIL® braided glass fiber ropes are processed into 96% silica (SiO2), boosting thermal performance of the textile ropes to 1800°F. TECSIL® silica braided ropes are available in several diameters to serve as compressible seals and fillers in extremely high temperature applications without shrinkage or embrittlement. Where guaranteed performance is required at temperatures over 1000°F, TECSIL® rope gaskets provide protection and assurance against thermal deterioration and seal failures.
Applications:
TECSIL®
rope gaskets are used in high temperature compressible sealing and packing
applications where temperatures exceed 1000°F
and protection against thermal spikes over 1800°F
is required. Coke oven door seals, crucible lid gaskets, expansion seals for
molten metal casting molds are included among the many industrial applications
for TECSIL®
braided rope.

TECSIL® ROPE NOTES: Standard spool sizes in stock, custom lengths available upon request. Spool length tolerance + or - 10%. Two pieces per spool allowed, minimum piece length is 12 feet.
GLASKET® ROPE
Glasket® Rope is a family of glass fiber braided ropes intended for high temperature applications up to 1000°F. The rope consists of fiberglass yarn core with a fiberglass braided jacket to form an exact diameter for controlled compression seals. Larger diameters have a "braid-over-jacket" for durability and precise gasket dimensions.
APPLICATIONS:
Glasket® Rope is suitable for high temperature dust collection bags and all types of sealing applications where temperatures do not exceed 1000°F. Oven seal doors in industrial soaking or heating processes are typical applications. Fillers for expansion joints, boiler room packing, and manhole cover gaskets are among the many other applications. Heat cleaning is available which sets the fibers to prevent end fraying and makes the rope suitable for hydro phonic and other wicking applications.
